The Nu Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi was established at the University of Michigan in 1925. For over 80 years, Nu has been Striving for the Highest, save for a short period from 1927 to 1935. No records exist of new members joining the chapter during that time period and there seems to have been no communication between Nu and the National Chapter. In 1935 the University hired a new director of bands, William D. Revelli. One of Revelli's first goals was to bring back the Nu chapter to assist the small but growing band program. Since then the Nu Chapter has changed much, but a few things have stayed the same: a deep love of all things to do with the Michigan Band and a commitment to improving that band any way possible.
