Augusta Clerk Kathy Giszckak and former Augusta Treasurer Angela Sherbine will get their legal fees reimbursed, totaling $6,640, connected to the recently resolved eavesdropping and whistle blowing cases.

Augusta Township Clerk Kathy Giszczak will face a recall election in February. It’s the latest salvo in a dramatic six-year dispute over of the terms of viewing township minutes, which has involved fish guts, lawsuits, personal protection orders and charged exchanges at the Board of Trustees' meetings. Recall language and signed petitions were submitted by township resident C.J. MacDonald and recently received final approval from the Washtenaw County Clerk’s Office.

Judge Archie Brown today upheld a personal protection order issued in February after Augusta Township Clerk Kathy Giszczak argued that she felt harrassed and threatened by resident CJ McDonald because of two incidents that happened at the township hall on Feb. 5 and 16.
