Dr. Larry Whitworth is recognized by his peers as a leading innovator in community college marketing, public relations, and curriculum development.
Dr. Whitworth began his educational career as a mathematics professor at the Community College of Allegheny County, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania almost four decades ago.
He has served, in turn, as college president at Tidewater Community College in Norfolk, Virginia; Cumberland County College in Vineland, New Jersey; and Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Dr. Whitworth is a weekend golfer and student of Organizational Theory and Behavior. He has spoken on numerous occasions before the Association of Community College Trustees and other educational associations.
