The Livingston and Washtenaw Narcotics Enforcement Team (LAWNET) is a regional drug enforcement group with participation from member police forces in Livingston and Washtenaw County and from the Michigan State Police.
LAWNET was formed in 1981 as a cooperative, multi-jurisdictional unit of narcotic investigators comprised of personnel from municipal, county, and state law enforcement agencies within Livingston and Washtenaw Counties. LAWNET is not a component unit of any government.
A previous organization with a similar charter was Washtenaw Area Narcotics Team (WANT).
