Makkara is a Japanese restaurant specializing in sushi and noodles. Friendly, fast, and inexpensive. Does a lot of catering for parties, as well as supplying sushi to some upscale local groceries.

A previous location was in a former donut shop on Washtenaw Avenue. No donuts now, though.
