Matt and Rene are involved residents of Ypsi. In addition to operating the Arbor Brewing Company in Ann Arbor and the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti, Rene serves on Ann Arbor's Downtown Development Authority board, and Matt on the Ypsilanti Planning Commission; both are additionally involved with the County Democratic Party and higher levels of political activism, hosting presidential candidate Howard Dean at their home on his 2004 trip through the state.
