"McKinley Towne Center" is a redevelopment-in-the-works at the former TCF Bank building at the corner of Liberty Street and Division Street. The TCF Bank building was purchased in early 2005, along with the TCF employee training center and parking lots at the corner of Division and Washington, giving McKinley three of four corners of the Division / Washington intersection (the fourth held by the Ann Arbor News).

McKinley plans to use the space to "activate Division and Washington"; the first floor of the TCF building will be rehabbed into four or five restaurant spaces, with another restaurant or retail space filling in the Liberty end of the surface parking lot. However, McKinley is apparently offering the space at $40 triple-net rent per square foot, higher than any other space in that area, and so far has not signed any tenants.

Long-range plans include a redevelopment of the training center into a building with approximately 100 residential condominiums, and the vacant parking lot into about 49 rental apartments, each with some sort of business on the ground floor, and underground parking beneath the condos. One local broker has suggested that this will be approximately a five to ten year project.
