Indian vegetarian restaurant with a lot of South Indian dishes. Very little seating, so they do a lot of takeout business. Next to the Farmer's Market in a stand-alone building formerly occupied by Delong's Barbecue Pit. Beware: they are extremely aggressive about enforcing their parking.
Inexpensive. Try the Gobi Manchurian (deep-fried cauliflower in a spicy Chinese-inspired sauce).
Have you tried Mysore Woodlands? (314 Detroit Street in Ann Arbor, near Kerrytown). It is literally a hole in the wall, with no real seating to speak of. It is also completely vegetarian. I think it's probably the best Indian in the area, though.
