When two co-founders of Columbus' OncoImmune Ltd. took jobs at the University of Michigan in 2006, the biotech company made sure it didn't lose the expertise. The company, which has been developing molecular therapies for treating cancer and multiple sclerosis in its office at the Business Technology Center on Kinnear Road since 2000, signed a lease and has opened a 600-square-foot lab in a building adjacent to a vacant Pfizer Inc. facility in Ann Arbor. Spark, the city's economic development organization, and the university took over the 35,000-square-foot space and opened it to use by life science companies.
