The salon chain — which offers “affordable, quality haircuts,” according to itsWeb site — will join Starbucks, The Big Salad, DFCU Financial and LaVida Massage when the shopping center opens next year. Great Clips will replace Little Caesars in the center because the pizza shop encountered problems with venting its ovens, Edelstein said.

Jack Edelstein, one of the developers of the proposed Plymouth Road Plaza in northeast Ann Arbor, said that project is still on hold - at least until summer. He said he "should know by July or August what we are going to do there and when." The plaza was proposed in 2006 and was supposed to be a two-story building in the parking lot in front of the Plymouth Road Mall.
