The Second Ward is one of the five wards into which the City is divided for purposes of City Council elections. The Second Ward consists of the northeast area of the city.

In 2016, the Second Ward is represented on City Council by Jane Lumm and Kirk Westphal. Ms. Lumm previously served on Council from April 1993 to November 1998. Lumm was again elected to Council in 2011 and was most recently re-elected in the 2015 election. Mr. Westphal was elected in 2014.
