SEMISLUG is an informal organization of Unix system and internetwork administrators who meet once a month to see a presentation and discuss topics relating to their professions. Meetings are held monthly; actual dates are posted to the SEMiSLUG mailing list and the mi.misc newsgroup.

SEMiSLUG meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. on the second or third Thursday of each month (usually) in Ypsilanti at Corner Brewery .

An innovation in the meeting style is to separate out the question and answer session into a separate question session and answer session. This was done in response to the frequent criticism of the quality of the questions by a regular participant.
