Seva (2541 Jackson Ave, in the Westgate shopping center) is a restaurant featuring an all-vegetarian and vegan menu, as well as raw juices and a decent selection of Michigan microbrews. Entrees are $9-$14. The yam fries are excellent. The service can be very laid-back.

Seva formerly occupied the main floor of the old VFW Hall; the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase was in the basement. The 2013 plans to move to Westgate to the space where Great Shanghai used to be materialized in 2014.

Free birthday entree can be at lunch or dinner.

The restaraunt was founded in Steve Bellock in 1973, and Maren and Jeff Jackson bought the place in the early 1990s.

my fiance enjoyed it so much we went BACK to Seva the following evening because we had another show in the area that night, too. (I tend to think my fiance really enjoyed the pitcher of white sangria we had, LOL, and wanted a repeat.)
