Stefanie Murray is Director of Digital Audience Development at the Detroit Free Press.

Murray was the Community Director for from its launch in 2009 until early 2011. She directed the Community Team at which included neighborhood, food, books, parenting, shopping and the eat local/buy local movement. The Community Team is also responsible for content presentation, engaging local bloggers, recruiting contributors and local community outreach and social media efforts.

Before joining on June 1, 2009, Murray, 28, had worked at The Ann Arbor News and the Lansing State Journal. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and broadcasting from Central Michigan University and a master's degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
