Yet another competitor has entered the ring for Ann Arbor's student froyo market. Swirlberry opened its second Ann Arbor store in late June right next to Mr. Greeks on State Street (they have another location near Plum Market in Ann Arbor and West Bloomfield). Swirlberry is locally owned, receives its milk from local dairy producers and produces its own froyo.

Plum Market co-owner Matt Jonna says Swirlberry is a joint effort between the California company that formulated the recipe and Plum, which is its exclusive Midwest distributor.
