The Tea Haus is owned by Lisa McDonald, who missed the quality tea shops she frequented while living in Europe, and decided to open her own tea shop to fill the need.  Tea Haus has a mail order operation in addition to their Ann Arbor Tea Room.

The Tea Haus carries more than 150 teas, including:classic black, green, oolong, white, herbal, ayurveda, fruit, aroma, and seasonal teas. Tea is sold loose so you can see and smell each tea before it is packaged.

In 2010, the Tea Haus began offering food. Their menu changes weekly, but usually includes some savory sandwich and soup as well as light options like a nut and olive plate, salads, and scones. They also offer French macarons and the flavors rotate monthly.

The Tea Haus is available for private events. Patrons can also call 1-2 days ahead to make reservations for a Full English Tea Service.
