History

The previous home of the Ark is also on Main Street, in the space formerly occupied by The Neutral Zone, near South Main Market. The original home of The Ark was on Hill Street, in the Henry Carter Adams House, which was torn down in 19xx.

A history of the Ark tells all.

Dave Siglin was the long time manager of The Ark. His daughter Anya Siglin, is now the manager.

Sidewalk use

The Ark has permits, renewed annually, to reserve the sidewalks in front of the building for use as a customer waiting area prior to events. You will see people lined up outside before shows, sometimes all the way down the block as far as Starbucks.
