The Vue was a proposed apartment project to be located at 1430 S. Maple. The project was announced to the public in January 2015 and a site plan was submitted on April 20, 2015. On October 29, 2015, the developer notified City planning staff that it was withdrawing the site plan. The plan is listed on the City's etrakit site as Project #SP15-010. The etrakit site notes an October 29, 2015 email from the developer withdrawing the project.
The site plan application (SP15-010) included this description:
This project is the proposed land division of the 34 acre Grace Bible Church (GBC) site on the west side of Maple Road at the intersection with Pauline Boulevard to create a 20.6 acre site for the apartments. The apartment project includes the removal of two single-family homes and the construction of 309 market rate rental apartments. The apartments are proposed to be constructed in the portion of the proposed site that is south of Grace Bible Church. Wetland mitigation is proposed in the portion of the proposed site that is northwest of the Grace Bible Church.
The project had originally been called Meadowinds Apartments. Previous project proposals for this site include The Grove and 42 North. Previous projects for this site identified the address as 1430 S. Maple, while the site plan for this project identifies the address as 1300 S. Maple (the address of Grace Bible Church).
