The Kroger is as any of its type: large, fairly extensive and fairly INexpensive, not much fun. Knit-a-Round is charming and homey, but a bit daunting nonetheless somehow! Tortoise & Hare has its best sales shortly before the Art Fairs (Street Art Fair et al.) and has knowledgeable staff. The UMCU branch, is new as of fall 2006.
