The University of Michigan Amateur Radio Club operates an Amateur Radio Station W8UM, communicating with all parts of the world and even outer space. The club sponsors many operating events and supports many interesting radio-related projects throughout the year. We are an easy-going bunch of students, faculty, staff, and alumni, that share an interest in radio and goal of helping others to enjoy our favorite hobby.
Steve Culp, K8QKY is the station manager.
The club maintains at 2 meter repeater on 145.230 MHz, with a -600 kHz shift and a 100 Hz PL. As of July 2016 the 2 meter repeater is off the air due to building construction.
