The Washtenaw County Road Commission (555 N Zeeb Road, Ann Arbor MI 48103; web site) is responsible for providing a road system that is reasonably safe and convenient to the traveling public. The Road Commission is responsible for the road system in most of the Townships, though cities control and maintain their own road networks, and the Michigan Dept. of Transportation (MDOT) maintains some major highways.
The WCRC has a three member Board, who are appointed to 6-year terms by the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners. The WCRC Board meets twice monthly.
