A Michigan-based outdoor power equipment retailer will move into the former Harley Davidson dealership on Jackson Road. Weingartz bought the building at 5436 Jackson, east of Zeeb Road, in late February and now plans to open its fifth store on April 4.

In May, Weingartz Supply Co., which sells lawn equipment, sued the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and other federal agencies over its mandate. The Catholic Church believes that using artificial birth control is wrong and fought against the mandate, saying it was an attack on religious freedom. The lawsuit was filed by the Thomas More Law Center, a conservative Christian group also based in Ann Arbor.
