Workit Health is an online addiction treatment company founded by two women in recovery, Robin McIntosh and Lisa McLaughlin. Workit Health's flagship office is located in Ann Arbor, and Lisa is a native of the city, although both founders have Ann Arbor ties.
Workit launched a medication-assisted treatment program offering buprenorphine to those struggling with opioid addiction as a direct response to the opioid crisis, after Lisa lost a dear friend in recovery in Ann Arbor to an overdose. The program is offered at a sliding scale, and includes medication management overseen by a care team, as well as counseling, therapy groups, and online addiction courses. The most notable benefit of Workit Health's online program is the single in-person office visit, as opposed to other outpatient programs where you are seen in person every day for many weeks. After one in-person visit in Ann Arbor, Workit Health members continue care online utilizing messaging and videoconferencing through Workit Health's online program.
Workit fosters a close relationship with the community through free naloxone trainings, free hepatitis A vaccination clinics, and a regular non-12 step recovery meeting.
