An orphan car is one whose manufacturer no longer exists, and the Orphan Car Show is where hundreds of these cars strut their stuff the first weekend in June. The show is hosted by the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum, funded by the Walter P. Chrysler Museum, and held in Ypsi's Riverside Park.

I go to several good car shows every year and this is one of the very best. It is open to any make of car no longer in production (thus the orphan name), although they bend the rules a little bit for something really unusual. The quality and variety of the cars are unbelievable.
