Obituary:

Zina Emerson Bolgos passed away peacefully April 4, 2009. He was born June 23rd, 1916. Zina attended University High School and Michigan State University, where he learned the making of ice cream, cottage cheese, butter and other dairy products for the Bolgos Dairy. Zina also enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and played the drums in the Bolgos Orchestra as well as square dancing. He was a member of the Elks Club for many years. Zina had a large 4-H club, where he worked with the children showing their horses. Zina was a member of the Michigan Draft Horse Association and showed his Belgian horses at many county fairs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Laura (Steffe) Bolgos and a brother Dean William Bolgos. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ola (Parker) Bolgos and two children, Gerald Bolgos of Bennington, VT and Rebecca (Neil) Maulbetsch of Whitmore Lake, MI, four grandchildren, Jason Bolgos, Adam (Sally) Bolgos, Ted (Becca) Maulbetsch and Julie Singer. He is also survived by four great grand children.
