The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority provides transportation services in the form of fixed-route buses and door-to-door paratransit services. Below are annual ridership figures for the fixed route service broken down in three ways: (1) total fixed route boardings; (2) boardings by holders of a go!pass, which is a program for downtown workers subsidized by the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority; (3) boardings by M-Ride passengers – students, faculty and staff of the University of Michigan – whose rides are paid for under a contract with the University of Michigan.
