Description: The band is sponsored jointly by District 214 Community Education, Village of Arlington Heights, and the Arlington Heights Park District. Membership is open to all persons 14 yrs of age and older who play wind and percussion instruments. No auditions are required to join the band, but members are required to privately perform a couple short etudes for seating placement.  Currently the band has more than 70 active members. The band owns a number of instruments that are made available to its members. The band is under the direction of Mike Madonia. It presents a series of indoor concerts Oct. - April and outdoor concerts at various locations during the summer months.  Rehearsals are typically held on the stage in the theater at Forest View Educational Center (2121 S. Goebbert Road), but interested persons may call the AHCCB voice mailbox for an outgoing message of the rehearsal location for the week.  This number is 224-323-6874. 

Indoor concert dates for the 2016-2017 year are performed at Forest View Educational Center and the dates are: October 23, 2016 at 7pm, December 11, 2016 at 3pm, February 26, 2017 at 3pm, and April 30, 2017 at 3pm.  All the concerts are free but tickets are required.  You may request tickets by contacting District 214 Community  Education at 847-718-7702 or by email at: [email protected].
