  • Winter Farmers Markets, March 1 and 15th

Mark your calendars for two opportunities to support local farmers this winter.

On Sunday, March 1, First United Methodist Church on Euclid will hold an indoor farmers market from 8:30 am-12:30 pm.

Our Saviour’s winter market will be Sunday, March 15, 8:30 am-1 pm in the Fellowship Hall and Gathering Space. A wide variety of goods should be available, which may include: produce, frozen cuts of meat, honey, salsa, jam, mushrooms, granola, bread and other baked goods, hand-spun yarn and soap. All products available at the markets come directly from a farm located within 250 miles of Chicago or are produced by vendors who use locally and sustainable grown goods. We’ll also have display by the Library and other Green local agencies. Dave Esau, of Dave’s Specialty Foods in Mount Prospect will present a cooking demonstration that day for the Adult Ed Small Bite, 10:10 to 11 am.

Drop by after worship, stock up, and have a good time supporting local farmers and artisans.
