Description: The Cancer Services Department at Northwest Community Hospital offers a series of support group meetings for cancer patients, survivors and their families and friends. Except as noted, all meetings are held in the Cancer Services Department located on the lower level of the hospital. These opportunities include: REACH FOR SUPPORT - For breast cancer survivors and the women in their lives who support them. Meetings are the first Wednesday of every month, 7-8:30 PM. MAKE TODAY COUNT - A general cancer support group for patients, their families and friends. Meetings every other Thursday, 7 - 8:30 PM LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA NETWORKING GROUP. Open to patients, family and friends. Meetings are the second Wednesday of the month, 7 - 8:30 PM. MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) NETWORKING GROUP. Open to patients, family and friends. Meetings are the 4th Tuesday of the month, 1:30 - 3 PM. LOOK GOOD…FEEL BETTER. A 12-step beauty program for women undergoing cancer treatment, taught by a licensed cosmetologist. It is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and hosted by Northwest Community Hospital. This is a one-time class and is held once a month. Class is free. Registration needed to attend.
