The Appalachian Foodshed Project (AFP) is a collaborative partnership for the purpose of enhancing community food security in the central Appalachian regions of West Virginia, southwest Virginia, and western North Carolina.

 

 

Volunteer Mission

Virginia Tech’s Appalachian Food Project Team is engaging students to map food systems in the Central Appalachia Region. This opportunity will enhance students’ research skills, build work experience, and increase their overall knowledge of local food systems.
