Telegraph Ave is a street that leads from Oakland (see Telegraph Avenue in Oakland) all the way to the footsteps of UC Berkeley's Sproul Plaza. The Berkeley part of Telegraph is home to many unique businesses including cafes, bars, restaurants, smoke shops and record stores. The area in recent time has been losing businesses many suffering from the problems due to finance or going obsolete due to the internet. Regardless the area is a mixing ground of many unique individuals from the Berkeley homeless population, to students, to Berkeley natives. Telegraph plays host to many festivals including the recent Christmas and Spring festivals.
