East White Oak Bible Church

East White Oak Bible Church is located in Carlock, Illinois just outside of Bloomington-Normal; it is a Bible church with Baptist teachings. Recently, Scott Boerckel was appointed the new Senior Pastor after the former senior pastor Jeff VanGoethem left to plant a new church down in the Dallas, Texas area.

East White Oak is involved with countless missionary works in Africa, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic as well as making many community efforts in the community. Support is provided in spiritual, monetary, and resourceful ways.

East White Oak is also an established church in the Twin City Youth Ministry Network. EWO alone has approximately one hundred students in the Junior and Senior High sections of the youth group which spans from 7th grade-12th grade. They meet at 6:30pm on Wednesday (Junior High) and Sunday nights (Senior High/High School) as well as at 10:30am Sunday mornings.

Along with a youth group, the church also hosts a weekly group for kids called AWANA (which stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed). It is for kids Preschool through seventh grade and takes advantage of kids development to open their minds to God. It also starts at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays night.
