The Boise Philharmonic is Idaho's oldest and largest performing arts group.   The Philharmonic is a seventy member professional music group that can trace its founding back to 1885 as the "Boise City Orchestra" and in 1887 as the "Boise Philharmonic Society."   The Boise Philharmonic performs approximately fourteen "Masterworks" concerts each year with selected music pieces from Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Brahms and Mozart plus new original work sourced locally and internationally.   In addition to the musical offerings provided by the Philharmonic the Philharmonic also prides itself with presenting valuable lessons and musical education programs for the Treasure Valley's youth to enjoy such as the Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.   If you are looking for a musical treat then look no further and dress in your Sunday best, go check out the Philharmonic!
