Kyoto is one of the many Japanese restaurants operating in the Boise area, but offers much more than run of the mill sushi joints commonly found in Idaho. A staple of Boise's international cuisine for about 20 years, the brightly painted exterior of Kyoto beckons the hungry to taste exceptional Japanese cuisine in the capitol city. The extremely attentive staff offers teppanyaki style grilling (with entertaining chefs to boot), traditional Japanese cuisine, and very fresh sushi/sashimi. The atmosphere is family friendly while still allowing for a special dinner for two. This is definitely not a pretentious dining experience but stuns when compared to other inland sushi restaurants. Fresh fish at Kyoto would really be fresh fish in San Francisco, and with genuinely reasonable prices. Dishes are presented tastefully and your servers are eager to please. Even on weekdays Kyoto will fill up fast, so reservations are a must after 6:00 PM. If you are looking for a taste of Japanese while in Boise, this is a must visit venue!
