This is no dull, static history museum. This museum recounts the history of Germany since WWII through realia and multimedia presentations. Although the permanent exhibits are all in German, audio guides in other languages are available for free and group tours in other languages can be arranged (also free). There is usually a temporary exhibit on a more specific topic, and sometimes those exhibits have displays in English as well.
The gift shop is also worth a visit to buy German type souvenirs like the Ampfelmänner famous from East Berlin or other fun items with German symbols.
