Outside the museum buildings are located on the right side of the forecourt three disabled parking spaces. All doors open automatically upon approach. In the museum, two elevators disabled visitors with access to the upper floors. Handicapped persons, we offer the free loan of wheelchairs. |
A great place to learn about our area as this museum shows cultural history in the Rhineland, the development of the region from its beginnings in the Stone Age to the present. They also usually have temporary exhibits in addition to the permanent. They offer regular workshops and guided tours with themes and have one for families (all in German). However, please inquire and book ahead to check if you want a language other than German.
They offer some wonderful themed birthday parties (using flint knives, Roman games, dressing up in Roman costumes, jewelry making,etc) for children between 6-12. You have to look at the German version of the website for information on birthday parties.
