Add a captionA castle near Weilburg an der Lahn.  They have a family museum open all year and guided tours of the castle.  They have the standard tour as well as one specially suited for families with children.  Tours are available all year, but in the winter, they are usually offered only on weekends and it is best to pre-register to make sure.
