The Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society is a museum that collects, displays, and researches Western New York history and culture. Located at the National Historic Landmark built for the 1901 Pan-American Exposition, it houses exhibits and a research library. They have the largest collection of Pan-American Exposition artifacts 1 located at the Resource Center. Because Buffalo has more miles of railroad than any other city in the country at the turn of the 20th Century, they a model railroad display with model structures of actual landmarks or those that typify the period.
