The Shamus Restaurant

Over 150 years in age, the Shamus Restaurant fits right in as a historic landmark in the heart of Lockport NY. Its name "The Shamus" derives from the previous owner, James Murphy, who established the first restaurant in 1950, in a building that was originally a farmhouse. The Shamus is now owned and run by Robert and Ann Murphy-Beaulieu. Along with its traditional Irish Decor the restaurant offers a wide variety of cuisine perfect to accommodate a small family or large party with different palate tastes. Since 1990 the Beaulieus, their family and wonderful staff have been making a special place in restaurant go-ers hearts.

Chef Mike Cain, who has been with the Shamus since 1996, accompanied by Chef Dave Stoll, whom started in 2000, are the duo you have to thank for making your taste buds water on a daily basis at the Shamus.
