WNY Book Arts Center is a 501(c)3 educational non-profit organization located on 468 Washington Street. The organization focuses on educational outreach, providing workshops, field trips, and extracurricular activities for students of all ages. In addition, the Center features a letterpress & screenprinting studio, gallery, and boutique that are the primary resources where Collaborative members come together to create, display, and sell their work. The WNY Book Arts Center promotes greater understanding of printing and book-related arts through education, creation, and exhibition for a broad and diverse community.

Events

WNY Book Arts Centre hosts multiple events annually that are designed to promote the book arts in the Buffalo community. Their major events include:

Exhibitions

WNY Book Arts Centre holds exhibitions featuring local artists to foster the creative spirit of the Buffalo area. Exhibitions change throughout the year and admission is free for everyone. The artwork and prints featured in the exhibitions are available for sale.

Workshops

Workshops at the WNYBAC are a fun way to learn a new technique or further develop skills as an artist. The Center holds workshops for:

• Letterpress
• Papermaking
• Screenprinting

Experienced members can get access to the studio equipment during the Open Studio workshop session.

Boutique

The WNYBAC Boutique features handmade prints, posters, and cards created by their in-house printers and members. The collection is available for purchase in their brick-and-mortar store as well as their Etsy page.
