Wegmans is a regional supermarket chain that has bright, clean stores, a wide variety of products from staples to sushi, and an extensive deli and in-store mini-restaurants that sell pizza, Chinese food, coffee and other items. The stores are expansive, and the various gourmet departments (like the cheese shop) train all of their staff to be knowledgeable about what they are selling.

The lack of an apostrophe in the Wegmans logo is occasionally cited as an example of a minor logo change that would cost the company significant money. It was changed in 1931 when they incorporated. Sure, it should be "Wegman's", but they would have to replace everything in every store that said "Wegmans"... just changing the front sign on each of their stores would cost over half a million dollars.

Please see Wegmans on RocWiki for a detailed description of the store, its history, culture, and successes.
