To categorize information, LocalWiki uses a tagging system. For this system to be most useful, we need a fairly consistent vocabulary. Currently, LocalWiki does not allow searches by multiple tags. As a result, we have to have some some tags that include multiple pieces of information. Down the road, we think the system will be modified to include searches for multiple tags. Currently we recommend using both the compound tags (i.e. Appalachian Ohio Foodshed) and the singular separate tags (i.e Appalachia, Ohio, Foodshed). This way, the system works as is while being primed for a system conversion down the road.
