Oak Creek Canyon is located in Arizona between Flagstaff and Sedona. The canyon runs for 12 miles providing a great scenic drive on 89A, this road parallels the creek. There are many spots to pull off at to enjoy the canyon's beauty. Multiple camp sites can be located along 89A manly fitted for tent camping due to the small amount of space. Slide Rock State Park which is located 7 miles north of Sedona, has a natural water slide that makes for a great weekend activity.
