UNC General Administration is the governing body for the multi-campus UNC public university system. Consisting of 16 public universities and a public residential high school for accelerated students, the UNC system schools enroll nearly 225,000 students each year. Additionally, UNC General Administration employs the offices of the president and senior administrative staff overseeing the 17 UNC system schools. Appalachian State University

North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics

Enrollment: Admissions Website is for current 10th graders. NCSSM has a highly selective enrollment process that admits rising 11th graders throughout North Carolina.

Fun fact: While not a university, NCSSM is a two-year public residential high school that prepares high school students for college and careers in science and math.

 

North Carolina State University
