Considered by many residents an 8-day reason to leave town, the Riverbend music festival is a massive regional tourism event on the Chattanooga Riverfront running from the first Friday through the second Saturday in June. The festival features musicians from various genres, with local/regional features as well as national names. The Coke stage features the headliners of the night, while other stages along the Riverfront host local bands and the slightly smaller national names.

In December 2013, Riverbend organizers Friends of the Festival made the controversial announcement that the festival would switch from the iconic Riverbend Pin to wristbands.

Locals attending Riverbend like to participate in Riverbend Bingo. If you haven't achieved Bingo after more than two nights at Riverbend, you're doing it wrong.
