Language Immersion is a common program found at a vast amount of schools in Charlotte. The language immersion program offers a chance for students to learn different languages starting from Kindergarten until they graduate high school or completed all the levels the school has to offer.

Students that are in middle school studying a language will receive credit for high school language classes. It's not easy to get your kids into the language immersion program but it isn't extremely difficult. You must enter your kids in the lottery in order to have a chance to attend the school. Also, the area you live in isn't a contributing factor to your child getting in because bussing is provided for all sides of town.

Most language immersion schools are Kindergarten through eight grade. Some of the schools offer just Spanish as a language choice than you have other schools that offer French, Chinese, German,  or Japanese. The program also gives students the opportunity to go across country for a week or two based off the language they are studying. Some students visit Germany, Spain, China, France, or Japan. This gives them the learning experience of being able to understand another culture where it originates from.
