The Epsilon Iota Chapter of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity is a now defunct fraternity which was on the Chico State campus. The Chapter closed at the conclusion of the Spring 2007 semester due to alleged hazing. Beta Theta Pi's or Beta's were known for their athletic competition, great reputation with sororities, and heated rivalry with Theta Chi. Additionally, Beta's were known as the most 'preppy' of the IFC fraternities, with a reputation for style over substance.
