Burgers and Brew is a restaurant that opened in downtown Chico August 1st 2010 in the old location of Chevy's. It shares the old B of A Building with Crush, Jamba Juice and Top This. The Chico location is part of a small chain of restaurants in Davis and Sacramento. Burgers and Brew serves American-style fare, with hamburgers, fries, salads and sandwiches. They also offer a wide selection of beer. They use 100% corn oil and all-natural Niman Ranch Beef with no antibiotics or hormones. Prices range from $6.75 for a Hamburger to $8.95 for their Buffalo Burger. All Burgers are served on a sesame bun with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, cooked to order, and choice of french fries or a spring mix salad. They also have a Guinness milkshake and a Guinness float.

Signs showed up in the windows of the location in late 2009 announcing the upcoming opening of the restaurant. These signs included a copy of the menu currently served in Davis. For more information about an already established Burgers and Brew location, see Burgers and Brew for the Davis location.

2009-12-22 20:23:34   The one in Davis is pretty cool. The food is decent and the beer the same. The cool thing about the place is that you can get a decent range of beer (compared to bars and restaurants) and don't have to have crappy bar burgers at the same time. A tad over priced probably but a good date spot if your honey drinks beer (or doesn't care if you do). God forbid they ever bring such a horrible restaurant as crepe ville though (same owners) to Chico. —JohnNash

2010-04-22 19:30:23   I frequent the one in Sacramento whenever I am down that way. Usually at lunch time, which is nice because they have a no split checks policy at dinner service that they don't enforce for lunch. You just go to the register to order. Beer/wine selection A+ (possible A++, they had Guinness 250 on tap for those of you who know what that was!), food A++. The Jalapeño Bacon Cheeseburger is to die for. They also have a variety of burgers to choose from including a buffalo burger for the health conscience(as well as turkey burgers). Portions are huge so for the price, a great deal. Can't wait for them to open! —63.192.100.91

2010-06-22 00:45:27   Any update? I've got a hankering for a Jalapeno Cheeseburger and some tasty brew...A grand opening date would be greatly appreciated... —71.148.53.242

2010-08-02 11:28:26   They had a Soft Opening On Sunday Night, and I believe they were very successful. This place is the best of the best, Chico will be thankful when they have they're first bite of the legendary Garlic Curly Fries, Un-freaking Real!!!! —99.88.121.186 2010-08-05 07:51:46   I was hoping for more info, but this is informing. What became of Chevy's? I didn't realize Chico even had one. —67.172.124.79

2010-08-06 10:17:07   Saw the "now open" sign and had to go in for dinner with some buddies. Sat at the bar- probably the best decission. The girl they had working was way more attentive and helpful than your average over-worked bar snob. She seemed kind of young, but in a good way. Can't beat a delicious burger, incredible beer selection, and hot girls serving it all to yoy. - SWMseekingBEER —75.30.71.183

2010-08-12 10:03:51   As everyone has said the selection of beers there is great and not ones that you would find everyday. However I really found the food to be only ok if not kind of bad. I got an order of wings and a Jalapeño Jack Bacon Burger. The wings were WAY over cooked, to the point of being crispy, the burger well not as bad as the wings was over cooked and I found the meat to be lacking in basic seasonings. I am not sure if I went on an off night or what but I am debating if I will go back for just beer next time. —12.40.193.72
