The CAMMIES (more formally known as the Chico Area Music Awards) have been recognizing Chico bands since their debut in 2006. The CAMMIES are awarded annually by the Chico News & Review to honor great musical acts across all genres. Much like the Best of Chico awards, the winners are chosen by readers' votes. Leading up to the awards night, a series of concerts in all genres are held.
