Charles Self (1881-1938) was the proprietor of Charles Self Cement Paving and Concrete Construction. He is buried in the Chico Cemetery.

2011-03-15 09:46:28   The Self's had a nice home on W. 4th Street and Ash. I remember Mrs. Self. She was such a sweet little lady who always spoke to me as I walked up W. 4th Street. We lived on Hickory Street. They had the prettiest yard with a big fish pond and the yard was always well groomed. The son became principal of Rosedale School on Oak Street. After he died, the home was occupied by college students and it went down hill as he never married. —205.188.116.77
